Diagnostic
Imaging Services
• MRI High
Field and Open MRI
(Magnetic Resonance Imaging) exams are an advanced way of looking
inside a patient’s body through radio waves and a magnetic
field to show the soft tissue structures and organs. MRIs are
used to diagnose many problems, such as detecting tumors, infection
and conditions that affect blood flow. An Open MRI helps minimize
stress associated with diagnostic imaging exams and is often
recommended for elderly, pediatric, claustrophobic and obese
patients.
•
Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA) is a type
of MRI that provides a picture of blood vessels. With MRA, both
the blood flow and condition of the vessels can be seen.
•
Spiral CT or CAT Scan (Computed Axial Tomography)
is used to diagnose a wide
variety of medical conditions. The scanner takes a circular
X-ray and combined with computer technology produces detailed
cross sections of internal organs. Sometimes an oral and/or
injected substance is used to enhance the contrast of the image.
•
General Radiography uses X-rays to look deep
inside the body and accurately assess any conditions that may
require further attention, or confirm your good health. With
your safety the utmost concern, we use only the latest film-screen
combinations to optimize image quality, while minimizing radiation
exposure. For most routine exams, same-day appointments are
available.
