High Field MRI
(Magnetic Resonance Imaging) exams are an advanced way of looking
inside a patient’s body through radio waves and a magnetic
field to show the soft tissue structures and organs. MRIs are
used to diagnose problems of the brain and spine, for detecting
tumors, infection and conditions that affect blood flow.
Our
MRI affords claustrophobic and/or larger-than-average patients
a more comfortable MRI experience.
__
• Magnetic
Resonance Angiography (MRA) is a type of MRI that provides
a picture of blood vessels. With MRA, both the blood flow and
condition of the vessels can be seen.
__
• Multi-Detection
CT (Computed Axial Tomography) is used to diagnose
a wide variety of medical conditions. The scanner takes a circular
X-ray and combined with computer technology produces detailed
cross sections of internal organs. Sometimes a substance is
used to enhance the contrast of the image.
Our
new CT offers faster scans and higher definitions images.
This equates to increased patient comfort and improves the
accuracy of the study.
We also now offer non-invasive Cardiac
CT - more information

• General
Radiography uses X-rays to
look deep inside the body and accurately assess any conditions
that may require further attention, or confirm your good health.
With your safety the utmost concern, Community Radiology uses
only the latest film-screen combinations to optimize image quality,
while minimizing radiation exposure. For most routine exams,
same-day appointments are
available.
__
• Positron
Emission Tomography (PET) scans are performed to diagnose
various cancers, cardiac, and neurological conditions. PET scans
often reveal
conditions that are undetected with
traditional MRI and CT exams.
