Please arrive 20 minutes early for your scheduled
appointment. You must bring the following items
in order for your exam to be performed:
• Medicare
and/or insurance cards
• This referral sheet and authorization
if required
• Any previous X-rays

to take your medications while following the
appropriate instructions below.

• Please dress comfortably with little
or no metal on your clothing.
MRI: Allow 45 minutes for the
examination. Please bring any previous X-rays
that are related to this exam. If you have a
pacemaker, electro-mechanical device, aneurysm
clip, or metal devices or fragments in your
body, please let us know
immediately as you may be unable to have the
examination. Also, please let us know if there
is a possibility of pregnancy. Please avoid
wearing makeup or jewelry as these may interfere
with the exam.
CT SCAN: Allow 40 minutes for the examination.
Please bring any previous X-rays that are related
to this exam.
CT W/O IV Contrast: No preparation necessary.
CT ABD and/or Pelvis: Medications may be taken.
You will be given a drink to allow us to highlight
certain structures, making the results more
informative. This liquid is to be picked up
at least one day before your appointment (at
our facility). Instructions will be provided
for you when you pick up your drink. You will
be required to fast about 4 hours before your
exam.
CT with Contrast: If your CT appointment is
for a contrast exam, do not eat or drink for
four hours prior to your appointment.
CT Sinus, Spine or Extremity: No preparation
necessary.
CT Head/Neck/Chest: Medications may be taken.
Fast 4 hours before your exam.
